Tibbe has spent a quiet day just laying around, doing little. He's had his dose of Pepcid & I also gave him his nausea medication. He keeps refusing his kibble - tried the old Iams, the Science Diet & his Royal Canin - turns his nose, but tried to gulp down a piece of cold pizza I offered him just to see if he'd be interested. Offered him some Oroweat bread - tried to get it, too. Kibble - turns his head. Finally soaked some Royal Canin & he ate about half of the 1/4 cup of kibble. He's toileted completely normally & is alert when you call him but just lying there the rest of the time. His tummy feels firm to me, not soft. Decide to wait until tomorrow to take him back in to try to see if there is anything more I can put my finger on. No more spitting up, vomiting, though I think I did see him refluxing but didn't catch the whole thing. Took his temp - it is 101.2 degrees - just about where it always is.
I'm wondering if the Pepcid just hasn't had time to really heal his irritated esophagus, if that is part of what was wrong. We'll see what the night & tomorrow bring. Just can't help but worry something else might be going on. This dog is normally a perpetual motion machine.
