It's definately a very slow, tedious process, and it smells like burning hair (which is not real nice). It wasn't painful though, which is a plus in my book as I'm still traumatized by my ONE experience with an epilady in the 80's. I guess it would depend on where you were wanting to use it. NO WAY would I have the patience to do my whole legs with it!
Having used it, I wouldn't buy it for myself. I'd rather shave or wax. If I had small areas, such as face, I'd rather pay for electrolysis. |
I can say from personal experience that Electrolysis is VERY slow & tedious and each follicle has to be done 3 times so an hr session only does a tiny section per visit then you wait for the hair to come in & do it again 2 more times & most will only do 30 min appts at a time. IMO it's good for things like a stray facial hair but that's about it. People think you go get it once & then your done & this is not the case. I think laser is probably the best & fastest way, but here again it does not kill the follicle in 1 visit but can do a much larger area at a time so cost wise in the end they are comparable.
