What I have done in the past is recycle water bottles. I fill them and put them in the freezer. Kaji has a foam house, which insulates surprisingly well. I put three water bottles in there. One against each wall. I don't let him have direct contact with the bottles. I take a blanket (thin, like the ones you buy at the dollar section at Target) his little house felt like it had it's own AC unit! The bottles lasted a good 8 hours before I needed to change them out.
