Hello There-

I have two Yorkies with MVD- one was diagnosed as a puppy and had a liver biopsy at the time of spay, the other was diagnosed at about 2.5 years old- so we have never confirmed it with any further testing. My regular vet did the liver biopsy and there were no complications. Both are on a lower protein (although not super low) diet and they continue to thrive and be very healthy.
