I have been doing alot of research about the pancreatitis. We did a couple of things wrong right away, which has made this alot worse. Before being diagnosed with it, we still continued to feed her. Even though it was a bland diet, she shouldn't have been feeding her at all. And she should have been on the IV fluids longer. They just did it cause she was dehydrated. Now, that we know whats going on, we are doing everything right, but is it too late? and we still can't explain the calcium deposits all over in her tummy. (i can't remember exactly where they were located, I'll ask the vet again today) Like I said in my first post, my vet isn't very optimistic about her recovery. I took her to a teaching hospital in Columbia Mo, which is two hours away from me. They did want to keep her there, but I told them no, since my vet can do the same thing they can do. The vet that is working with Elle now, is a very knowledgeable vet. She isnt the vet I first seen when I took Elle the first time. (or else we would have caught this sooner) But I know she is recieving the best care, and the staff just loves Elle. She is so cute, I dont know why you wouldnt love her. I have cried so much that I dont even put makeup on my eyes anymore. It's so hard to focus on anything, cause all I think about is her. I have 2 other yorkies and a bulldog. I love all my dogs, but this paticular one is MY baby, and we have this strong connection, that I cant explain. So it makes it even harder for me to deal with. I dont want her to suffer, and i know if this doesnt improve, i will have to make the decision that I never wanted to make. I can tell you it will kill me, if it goes that route. so please pray for my lil girl. I can't imagine life without my lil sweetie. I would miss her gentle kisses, her loving demeanor, and my best friend!!
