Bottom line, and we all know it, is that when you get your
child a puppy ~ you are actually getting
yourself a puppy.
I don't care how many times they swear they will walk the dog; play with; feed; water, etc. They soon get busy with their own lives and most are in that phase where they are utterly self-absorbed. Puppy needs will not be first on their mind.
I tease Matt that he is going to have to take Ringo to college with him
. I think he's a little scared about it ~ because he knows I want to get a Condo and Ringo is definitely NOT a condo or apartment dog.
Of course, I won't make him but it's still fun to watch him squirm.
