Consumer complaints about Nutro Pet Foods
+1

I got Chuy as a rehome. His previous owner bragged about how they only fed him THE best -- Nutro! They gave me what remained of their bag, and I just smiled and didn't say anything about their choice of food. I didn't want to get preachy with them about their choice of food .... after all, they were in the process of giving up their dog. When I asked how many times he was fed each day, they just said he was "a picky eater," and didn't eat much. (He was underweight). They also gave me some treats for "sensitive stomachs." Hmmmm.

When we got home, I threw the bag away. I started him on Nature's Variety raw in the morning and Acana kibble in the evening. He ate like he was starving, and to this day never turns up his nose at his food and eats it immediately. There is nothing "picky" about his eating habits, he probably just didn't want to eat Nutro because it upset his stomach. Our vet now says his weight is in the normal range (at the lower end of normal).
