We take Toto everywhere! Generally, if we can't take her ... we don't go! We travel because of our work [few months here ... couple of years there, etc.] so Toto has lots of miles on her! You can check online for pet-friendly hotels. We were working on a project in northern Missouri when we first got her and simply made sure that the Holiday Inn Express where we had been "living" for five months would accept her. They actually had a "no pet" rule, but since we had been renting one of their suites for so long and would be there until December they "bent" their rule! I assured them that I didn't want her on their carpet any more than they did [I had just seen on TV one of those "reports" and was amazed at how nasty even nice hotels are!]. We always spread out a plastic tarp and set up her X-pens on it for her and she is just comfy, cozy in there with all her beds, toys, weewee pad, etc. I bought a small vaccuum and cleaned the room myself. I was afraid that they might miss something on the floor that she might find on those occasions when we let her have full run of the suite for more exercise. Also, there are nice restaurants [expecially in Florida] which offer outdoor dining and pets are welcomed!
