Maybe next walk take one of those big old button-operated umbrellas to deploy if another dog approaches you. It is a wonderful canine deterrent when they hear the whoosh as that thing opens up.

hehehe, thanks Jeanie! Oh I know what you're refering to. That's a great idea and I have one of those small umbrellas. I will definatly be carrying it from now on. Because I can't avoid Big dogs here, they are in every yard, including my own, lol. So thats a great safety measure to have on me. Thanks for the advice
