I have the sweetest deal with my groomer. When I lost my job back in 09, I told the owner that I might not see her for a while because of finances. I was taking them every three weeks at that point to the tune of $45 each dog
I had a good job. She called me later that day and asked if I'd like to barter services. I clean the shop every two weeks, my girls get groomed every two weeks. They get bath, nails, and a little trim every time. They are kept fairly short, so it really does need trimming that much. Especially Luna, she's got that cottony coat that grows like a weed
And Izzy's nails grow so darned fast, so this works out perfectly for us. I really rarely have to bathe them in between, only if they roll in something stinky outside
I'm pretty lucky, I'm saving money and my doggies are well cared for.
