You did everything right the first time, they just are good at fooling you. All sugar and spice until they've got your money, or there is a problem, and then they turn into jerks
You won't be so easily fooled this time. Sounds like the last time you dealt with a broker. They get pups from multiple breeders and sell them at a huge profit, doing the very minimum in care until they can "unload" the pups.
Just be patient, take your time (I know you did last time too, but this time you have YT behind you). The perfect new pup is waiting out there somewhere
