Bayleigh has had similar reactions twice now, so I totally understand how you felt. I keep a 2nd vet clinic on call within a couple miles from my house in case of another severe reaction. As soon as I see her eyes swelling, I only have about 10 minutes to get her somewhere fast and oral benedryl will probably not take effect soon enough to count on that. Also watch for vomitting after the eyes swell, that could be an indication of an anaphylactic reaction.
I don't like the way this sounds at all. anaphylactic shock sounds really scary.Thanks for the info...I'm kinda panicky now. It had never happened before.
