I have a Doggy Door, and both mine make the necessary trips outside all times day/night. Through the day, they will stay downstairs, nap, be taken for a Jog, and are pretty much free to do what they want.
In the evenings, I watch TV, and quite frequently toward bedtime, I'll look around,and BOTH of them will have gone upstairs, got in my Bed, and are sleeping soundly when I get there.
No doubt they had a rough day...
