My first Yorkie that I got way back when I didn't know better, once had blood dripping from his muzzle when I woke one morning & I rushed him to the vet. He was 6 1/2 years old then & the vet told me he had an abscessed tooth! It, plus some other decayed teeth had to come out! My poor baby had been in terrible pain & I had no idea! He'd been acting normally, eating normally & sleeping well. But since dogs often don't show any reaction to pain - I didn't know. He had to have dental surgery & closure of the abscess hole! It was eye opening! I learned then that Yorkie are subject to bad dental disease & have to have their teeth brushed, regular vet check to see if there is tartar/plague build up and/or gum disease & only a vet is experienced enough to do this. So take your little one to the vet now before you have to really spend a lot of money.
How are you checking him for worms? Heartworm? There are just so many reasons you need to see a vet at least yearly.
