I think once over 6 years old, definitely should be seen once a year.

I think every other year is probably fine for a younger healthy dog.

Jackson is 3 1/2 and has been every year, mostly because of his age. As a pup, he went in 3x for the normal pup shots, then at one year for those boosters. At two and three, he went in a few times for other things, so got wellness exams in the process.

But even at 3 1/2, he will be getting yearly bloodwork and checkups for my peace of mind. He has not been yet this year, in 2012 and will be 4 in October. I plan on getting him in after summer.
