Have you ever adopted from Yorkie Rescue? Am I being too excited/anxious? I do not even know if the dog is still available. Wouldn't they do an initial contact with me before they started an investigation as to my suitableness? |
When I adopted Coral it went pretty fast but it depends on the rescue and how many apply for that dog. They want to find the best possible home. They will check your Vet ref. and personal refs.
I know how hard waiting is. When I found Coral on My Rescues website I had fallen in love with her.I looked at her picture 1000 x day. I convinced myself that there was no way she was still available and they just didn't keep their page updated. For a whole month i would go back and look at her. I finally just called about her and she was still there. I was so head over heals in love with her before i even saw her in person.
I think it's good to keep emailing them about her. it will show them how interested in her you really are.
Do they have a facebook page that maybe you can contact them that way too. More of the volunteers may be on that page and see your posts.
