If you are a college student, then you need to consider more than a passing thought to how you will afford the puppy. In the first year, baring any unusual health issues you can be looking at upwards of $700 for the vetting, shots and spaying. And this is with a healthy puppy.

let me say this in closing; there is nothing free about a "free" dog that has health problems.
