I originally fed Primal but Zoey had eye buggers really bad so I switched to Nature's Variety and she does well on it. I defrost about 4 days worth and have never had a problem with going bad. I feed my maltese the patties - one half per day and they both get veggies for dinner. The only problem is if you don't wash their face after eating the bacteria from the raw grows and their faces smell AWFUL.
