I thought choke chains/slip collar are not really recommended for dog under 25 pounds- Not talking about in the show ring- Due to risk of tracheal/neck damage. Also it should only be used during training sessions not so you can control the walk- The dog can choke themselves easily and lead to neck issues if allowed go pull and not corrected properly.

The chain with nylon (martingale/limited slip collar) would be a better choice- IMO- The dog could not choke itself.

No pull harnesses are also effective for some.

The owner needs to make the tool work- Not the other way around.


I can walk the Yorkies and Golden together with little or no trouble.
