I have one of each. Until we got Gage, I always said I wanted a female, NO BOYS! I just thought they were easier to train and work with. But when we took in Gage, since he was a "rescue" and free, we had no control over the sex. Gage is absolutely wonderful! He has not really been bad to housebreak or train, he gets along good with Gabby, and is just so loveable. I think it's a matter of personal preference on if you get 2 of the same sex or one of each.
