Make sur you bring your current food Incase you run out. Take some form of crate for when you go our and can't take your baby. Bring them comfort items like toys, blanket, pillow, I agree water bottles are a must. I take an extra leash and harness and tons of treats. Pee
Pee pads and take pop bags. Oh and clean up products.
Make sure they have their tags esp their Id tags. I get copies of their shots and last check up I would research emergency vets. I would also Researc ER centers incasee there is a accident. Ask your vet for meds for car sickness and anxiety. I learned good car riders at home may not be long distance

I would also take updated photos and contact info to give to desk clerks you don't want your baby doggie stolen
