 OFA Certification for LP
How many breeders do OFA certification on their foundation Yorkies? Why or why not?
I do not do OFA certification at this time. I have all of my adults carefully evaluated by my vet who is the one that educated me about LP and has experience with canine reproduction including genetics. To date I have not produced LP in a puppy. The chance of producing LP is always there because of the genes but I feel that I have lessen the chance to produce it. At this time I don't feel to OFA my foundation is neccessary however, I'm not set in my ways. I'm always looking for ways to better my program if OFA would do that I would certainly incorporate it....others thoughts on this please? |
