hello -
we adopted a 6yr old female rescued from a mill. We are working with her on several issues, but not sure about the house training. From everything I've read we are doing the right things, but she isn't following the rules.

It seems she has no issues about eliminating in her kennel. I've bought the smallest kennel I can find, but she will still occasionally pee while inside, even if she were just outside previously and only in the kennel a short time. She is really sweet and gentle, but we are worried that this isn't correctable. She doesn't seem to connect the "good" outside with praise and treats for going and the whole not peeing where you sleep thing. It is hard to praise her since she is so shy - any quick movements scare her and she doesn't really enjoy affection. Giving her treats seems to work as she is expecting them now after she goes outside....just not enough to hold it while in the kennel. Any advice for a rescued yorkie?
