I used a onesie on Trixie when I wanted to wean her puppies. She wanted to be with them but I didn't want them nursing off of her so it was a great compromise. Maybe you could try that or something similar so momma can be with her pups with no worry of them nursing off of her.

Are you giving them hard food? At that age I take a little bit of puppy food and soak it in water for about an hour. It gets real soggy, then you can smash it up, making puppy gruel. Since a good portion of this is water, it is just absorbed by the food, they don't need much water to drink. As they get older, you let the food soak less so it is slightly harder and keep doing that until they are eventually eating hard food by themselves.

They really need to stay with their mother until they are at least 10 weeks old, preferably 12 weeks old. At that age they learn crucial social skills and letting them go too young can result in some serious behavior problems.
