Toki's canines didn't start erupting until literally the day after she got spayed (*sigh*)! I know they normally remove these teeth when your pup is already under for the spay/neuter so I just had to hope that they would fall out on their own. She had 2 sets of canines for the longest time (that's what it felt like to me!). Around 7 months her bottom baby canines finally fell out but she is almost 9 months now and still has 2 sets on top.
My vet said that as long as I kept these teeth clean and the area didn't look inflamed, it would be fine just leaving them in until her first dental cleaning. I'm not sure about price and I know that varies a lot but the vet said it wasn't worth putting my pup under again just for taking out baby teeth if things weren't inflamed or her bite wasn't offset.
Have your vet take a look just to be sure there won't be any problems! My guess is that He/She will probably just wait to take them out whenever your pup gets neutered! |
