I'll agree with ChaCha, a trainer/behaviourist is probably necessary. It is one of the reasons we set aside Boxers. How-ever what when I was doing research it indicated at least 3yrs old before they settle down, and then sometimes even longer.

Until then that boy needs to be crated when not supervised. By the sounds of it, he is getting a whole lot of exercise and stimulation. They could also try some Bach Flower remedies, or even Rescue Remedy. As a stopgap solution until the trainer comes.
