We got a text in the middle of the night from Tony's mama saying Minnie, his...hefty...calico cat that he got when he was ten, is extremely ill. They didnt think she''d make it throuugh the night so they brought her to an emergency vet, who said she has some type of infection. She got a shot and she won't eat or drink anything. Thhe vet suggested having her put down since she has other health problems. His mama took Minnie home and stayed up all night trying to force feed her.

My boyfriend hides his pain pretty well...but this cat means so much to him, AND his mom. She called us crying and my heart is breaking..I just keep thinking, what if it was Luma? I feel so bad. What can be said to console them? Not much...I just pray Minnie gets better, I love her so much and I'm very sad, crying and don't want to go to work. Dramatic I know, but I have never had to deal with losing a pet before.
