Some of you may have wondered what the heck happened to me over the past year or so. I have been a ghost around here.
I have been very ill. I won't go into the details, but after over a year of trying to figure out what is wrong with me and how to treat it, I have recently been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension.
My parents have been a huge help in keeping Yorkie Splash and Shine going while I have been down, and they will continue to be. I am certainly not better yet.
I'm in the early stages of getting medical help now that we know what it is. Unfortunately, the condition is very rare and there isn't a lot of good info on the best avenues for treatment, etc - it's mostly trial and error until we figure out what works best for me.
So, just wanted everyone to know. I don't want anyone to think I "left" or anything like that. Most days just getting out of bed is barely tolerable, so YT is one of those things my brain generally won't let me focus on. Today has been one of those rare good days, so I'm finally posting.
