I think you have to be smart about it. No dog parks early on, or pet stores. Honestly... you can carry parvo inside on your shoes. It's probably more likely for a dog to get sick from something going around at the vets office than in your own yard. If you know there's parvo in your area, play it safe. Pay attention to what diseases are around in your location. But no, I never would keep a pup fully indoors until all shots kick in.
