The only thing that really bugs me is when ppl ask how much Norman was. That is MY business - it came from my wallet so what does it matter to you? UNLESS, they are interested in getting a Yorkie - and you can tell - then they always seem to ask it in a more 'general' way AND it isn't the first Q that they ask. Even then they are told the cost 'range' of our breeder - not Norman's actual cost.
When walking our larger dog with Norman kids always want to pet Norman - I tell them that the bigger dog (who is quite old and reliable) is the dog that they should pet b/c he likes kids more - kids are usually easily redirected.
I've never really felt the need to respond to the whole 'teacup', 'rat on a rope' comments...I try to remember where it comes from -> people that are not well versed on the breed and that probably are trying to make a joke (a bad joke but - whatever). |
