I think it is how they say it that gets me. Or making any negative remarks. There are breeds of dogs that are not my first choice but I would not put anyone down for having that breed..
I saw someone with the cutest dog oh around 15 pounds.. I asked what breed? They said yorkie .. I felt so bad.. I really did not mean any harm. I just said oh.. If I had looked I would have "seen" the yorkie I am just not good at reconizing breeds..he is so cute I bet you just loved him!! I hope that took the "sting" out of asking in the first place. Now I don't ask.. just say "what a cute dog"
