I know everything that's in the treats I give my girls. Everything. Their food I can't control so much since I don't home cool for them (yet) but I do feed Royal Canin.
Carrots. That's what I give my girls to chew on. Plain old raw carrots. Well...not old but plain.
Besides that, I have a food dehydrator. If you really want to give your pup a treat, buy a steak, slice it into think strips and dehydrate it for them. Store the extra in an airtight container in the fridge.
