I've come to the conclusion that since they are so much closer to the ground/asphalt, it gets hotter for them more quickly than we realize. I will put my bare foot on the ground when I take them out to see just how hot it is. I try and get them to walk on the grass if possible or I take them out in the stroller and put them down to do their business. My 2 really do not go very far when it's too hot, but at dusk, they don't seem to mind walking.
When we go out on the boat, I am continually dunking them in the water to keep them cool. Can you pour a bit of water over your little one when she's been outside for awhile? |
