I just rescued a 7 month old yorkie from someone who has WAY over bred her dogs, Mom is 6 and about to have her 8th litter
!! We have only had her for 2 days but can tell that she is going to be the sweetest and best dog ever! Her personality is NOTHING like others have said about yorkies, she is SUPER calm, doesn't want to play with toys or do anything other than be held or follow me around. I am worried that because of the over breeding that she may have some health problem. I took her to the vet and was told she looks good but I am not so sure, I will be taking her to a different vet this week.. I do think she may be a little under weight though, only 3.5 pounds. She was completely covered in fleas and her hair badly matted so it has taken a lot of bathing, cutting brushing to get her clean. Could she be SO laid back because she is in shock?? I'm glad she is not crazy hyper but I do want to play with her!
