Be sure that you are paying more attention to your older dog than you are the new puppy and this is really hard to do. But your older dog needs to be reassured that he is still the 'top dog' so to speak and has not lost his status within your house.
Greet him first, feed him first, leash him first, he goes out the door before her . . . .
And there is not a thing wrong with her spending some time in the expen to give your older dog a break.
