I worked in a Department store when the Cabbage Patch Kids craze first started..OMG women got into fist fights over them and we ended up having to have a drawing for who would get a doll, when we would get our supply in.
It was crazy!! I remember the raffle on Black Friday and I was Manager of the Jewelry Dept where the tickets were given out. I am not exaggerating, I bet there were 3000 people in the store that day and that is saying a lot for our tiny little town. It was sheer madness!!
LOL my then 2 year old boy got one for Christmas...her name was Karna Tessa
but she was more for me than for him, because I have always loved dolls
