Anytime I brought a new pet into our home, I would let them meet outside before going inside the house. They got to sniff and do what pupsters do. This way the dog that is already here feels better on meeting a new one, just makes them more comfortable and not having the other on his territory.. Also make sure your dog that you have now still comes first with eating, grooming and such. Good luck and congrats.
