Exclamation You new yorkie

First I hope you are enjoying your new i baby. I have three and I will tell you they al have different personalities.

I have my oldest Mollie who is 11. I had her before I met my husband who had children already. She was 5 at the time and it took her awhile to Djust. She wasnt use to small kids picking her up and holding her so she was snappy at first. She never. It anyone just growled T them. She eventually yea aged to my husband after ignoring him for about 2 weeks. She would honestly walk to the otherwise of the room to avoid him. She is now his girl

Moving to 2 1/2 years latter I noticed Mollie wasn't as playful as she had been. She grew up with Billy my first yorkie who passed when she was 4 from kidney failure. I convinced my fiancé at the time to get her a sister. So we found a great local breaded. I went to see her puppies and she only 1 little girl left. She was the runt of the litter. I took Mollie back to meet her and she seemed to like her. Once Lizzie got home it was a bit unnerving Mollie was jealous but after a day she started warming up to her then she started Cting more like her mom.Izzie is great she is a cuddle nummy and loves to play. She loves the kids to death and I am her alph

This past Feb I con incex my now husband after a lot of heated conversations to get another puppy.y reason was Mollie who is now 11 had slowed down a lot due to arthritis in her hind legs and Liz was not getting as much activity so we decided to go for it I was so excited and the breeder we used befor had just had a new litter. I took Mollie and Liz to meet the little ones and we chose the runt again. She was only 1 lb 9 oz when we brought her home. Molie once again took on the mom role and Liz was fine at first the. The jealous side set in Liz seemed sad and pouted for about 2 weeks so I found I had to spend time playing with each of them for separately then merged it into playong together. Liz continued her pouting for awhile she would spite pee and do other mischivious things

Now with Abbie being home about 2 months. They Have started playing together and are now buddies. I have just learned if I have one on my life I have to have all three. I take them all out together walking.

It will take your new little one awhile to adjust to your other dog then your older dog will more than likely have a jealously issue at first and may have some behavior issues

Yorkies have big doc syndrome they are small but their personality is 20 x bigger than they are. I think they do better with another yorkie. They tend ro become self center and overly defendant if alone. I have never owned a yorkie with another breed. My girls stay with my parents when we go out of town. She has has sitzu and they do well together.

Yorkies do well with children if they are around them a lot. That was my problem with Mollie and my step children. They had to learn how ro play with her. She is not the snugly type and they did not get that she did not want to be held and played with 24 /7. The two little ones have been around them since they were Bout 9 weeks old and they love being toted around but when they are done they will let them know. You are just goi f ro have to work with your older dog and the kiss until they adjust I always her people saying Yorkies are yappy and difficult They really are not they just have hug personalities and they will only become neurotic if you let them
