The good news is that the tumors where not located near the neck opening to the kidneys. Dr feels it has not spread and that he got it all. Kirby has been a very big part of my life and my Yorkies just love him. We noticed him staining and then small amounts of blood in his urine. They had him on antibiotics treating him for UTI, but it never cleared up, Doc did xrays and still nothing showed, so he filled his bladder with gas to see better and then the big tumor showed up. I got a call while I was in DC that Kirby needed emergency surgery so of course I gave him the go. He found Califlower type tumors in the lower part of his bladder and one large tumor. He removed all tumors and said they bled, but felt he got everything. Now we are waiting to hear back from the Oncologist to see what we need to do. I am on pins and needles. Kirby has always been soooo house trained but for the last couple of months he is going everywhere and cant help it. I bought some toddler size diapers. He is my baby boy and I just dont want him to suffer.
