 Cali's at the ER vet and I'm so scared
Tonight at 9:30 I woke Cali up from her nap to feed her and skept falling over. I gave her nurtical and rushed her to the ER vet. They did blood work and gave her dextrose. i was there for 2 hours and they wanted me to leave her but I just couldn't. So I came home and called poison control because she was at my parents house today and they are on a lot of meds and the er vet wanted to see if there was any way she could have gotten one. I don't see how she was with me the whole time and I watch her. They said I should take her back t o the vet for overnight observation. So I did. But I am so scared please keep Cali in your prayers. Shw was walking pretty normal by the time I took her back but still seemed woozy or dizzy. Does anyone know if hypoglcemia would take this long to respond to treatment? I have always been able to get a puppy back to normal within 30 minutes of nutrical or syrup. Bloodwork was normal except for elevated BUN. Any ideas? Will she be ok at the vet away from me? |
