I love this Simplicity pattern. It is a harness pattern, but you can add a basic skirt to it very easy. (I actually add a McCall's skirt pattern to it for a basic dress because I do not like the top part that came with the McCall's pattern I have). I like it because it is easy to cut, easy to sew, and I like how when you cut the pattern there is one individal pattern for each size. Like on some of the McCall patterns they only have one pattern with lines on it for the different sizes. Well if you cut out the pattern for a XS size, you no longer have the other sizes. I hope that makes sense. I know it's just personal preference, but I do not like it.

I'm not sure if the Burda Style patterns are included in the sale or not, but I have looked at this one a few times:

Alot of the Simplicity patterns I do have are OOP (out of print) patterns. I found them online, but that won't help you this weekend when you go shopping. LOL. I adore this one, but it is hard to find. I paid like $20 plus shipping for it on Etsy I think. Here it is on Amazon, but it is high.
