Yes twas my thought too ;-) Razzle however at 12 wks most nights held his pee in overnight. How-ever during the day I'd let him out every 2-3 hrs. Males are different to females though. Those dang boys also love to mark. And want outside to do that particularly after our female has been out.

I like now to use a water bottle on Razzle's crate, that lets me know how much he is drinking.
The big dog has a bucket inside his crate, it is filled in the am, and in the early evening, and if necessary after lunch hour, so his is more an approximate amount.
He regularly drinks 2 liters of water a day; more if it is hot out, and or we are hiking. For example when we went to the park all day Sunday, he went through 4 liters of water, Razzle went through about 10 ounces.
