Can you feed him wet food in the morning before you leave? Then when you leave I would leave some of his dry down. Is it small enough for him to eat it with no problems? If it is kinda big you can cut it in half-

My Peanut is almost 5 and I cut his food in half

If I were you I would wake up take care of him, feed-potty maybe a little play then go to the gym/work
