X-rays do not show all stones, especially if there is no calcium in the stones. There are 5 kinds of bladder stones...in humans, there are at least 3 kinds of kidney stones, if I correctly recall (from 8-10 years ago...lol) and only 1 type has calcium. DH's stones were not revealed in x-rays...he had an MRI...also $$$$...lol, I think, but the x-rays were clean.
