The big advice I can give is that I think a lot of people make the mistake of treating yorkies like babies. Things that you would not let a big dog get away with, people ignore with their yorkies. I think this is a big part of the problem with housebreaking and I also think it's a problem with barking and even aggressive problems. So my big advice would be that while you don't correct your yorkie harshly and certainly never hit them, you don't ignore bad behavior either. Immediately address it even if you have to excuse yourself from that conversation with your neighbor because this has really got to be tops on your priority list. But having said that, i think there is nothing better than a Yorkie so most of all enjoy him, give him lots of love and know in your heart that he only want to please you! |
