Although I love all dogs I knew I needed a smaller sized dog because of a back injury I have been dealing with for the past few years. I was thinking 8 or 9 pounds would be great but Gracie turned out to be 5 pounds and it took her quite a while to achieve that weight. That was really a bit smaller than I was used to dealing with. She was sure she was a 50 pounder! It has turned out OK though.
It seems we have seen many new owners lately who have said their puppies have gotten bigger than they expected. |
I'm one of them...I fully expected Orion to be around the same as his half sister around 5-6lbs. He's almost a year old and weighs 10lbs!
not quite what i was expecting...love the big oaf anyway!! hehe
