The problem with liquid softener is it splashes to parts of the machine where water won't rinse it off, and then it creates a mold problem. (at least that's what happened to my old machine)

No, it has a "Soft Touch Impeller". It kind of bumps up a little ways in the bottom of the tub but it doesn't extend to the full height of it.
Dolly is just wonderful.
She has settled in so well over the past year+, it's like she's been my baby girl forever. I just love her to peices. Thank you for asking!
