I just want to add that I think why people were coming down a bit harder on lovetodream88 was because in a lot of her recent posts, she would be seemingly judgmental towards a poster if they were doing something she felt was unsafe, or whatever... I had noticed it in the past few weeks of posting. JMO. So it seems like she maybe got a taste of her own medicine? Either way, always sad to see a long time member leave.

As far as the topic of this thread goes, I do let Jackson outside at night without a leash in my dads fenced in yard. I walk out with him and watch him, mainly to make sure he truly goes potty but also to keep an eye out for wildlife. He's also 16lbs and bigger. Just seeing a possum out back wouldn't make me decide to freak out and buy a gun, though, either... like most said, possums usually won't hurt anything, even though they can be nasty buggers.
