What happens when you block another user? Do you not see any of their posts, even if they respond and quote you? What if another user quotes them?? You'll see that, right?

There's someone on here who is just rude, judgmental and condescending and I'd rather not see their posts, but I've noticed people quote particular people when replying to something they've said, so if another user quoted that person, and I would still have to see it, there's no way to 100% block someone?
