What is the best method for steaming them?
Jack loves Tamales, want to make them for our Anniversary this Saturday, hopefully can make a larger amount to freeze some.
Thanks, Patti and Jack
Yes you can use banana leaves. Other Latin countries have their own version of the tamale, and so do Asian cultures, and they are mostly wrapped banana leaves.

I forget what country they were from, but the tamales in the banana leaves and the masa is so smooth and soft, and there's a lot of meat in side. They are more of a square shape instead of a rectangle.
